A very personable Consultant who was keen to give a pleasant and professional service. He arranged personally for my MIR & X-Ray to be carried out immediately after the initial consultation. My pervious experience is to make the appointment myself which required coming back another day. A very efficient experience with clear explanation of the results and options.

Mr Thakrar is in my opinion everything you could want from a consultant. Unfortunately over the years, I have had many different operations and I can honestly say that Mr Thakrar is the best surgeon I have had. My situation was quite rare but Mr Thakrar was incredibly knowledgeable and he has a great skill in being able to communicate his knowledge in layman's terms. He takes the time to listen fully and ensure he understands the whole picture and goes to the effort of reassuring and explaining in detail what will/has happened, answering all of my questions fully (even the ones which felt a bit silly!) He clearly loves what he does and that shows in how he comes across. I would wholeheartedly recommend Mr Thakrar. He is kind, polite, genuine and understanding as well as being great at what he does.

I went to Mr Thakrar with a torn ACL and meniscus and opted for Surgery. From consultation to post surgery Mr Thakrar was knowledgeable and caring, offering good advice and making me feel at ease.

Mr Thakrar was very professional.Took time to explain what was going to happen and what to expect after the operation. He was sympathetic, supportive and understanding about the post op pain and discomfort (which was more than I had anticipated and lasted longer than I expected). He took the trouble on the last consultancy after the op to show the before and after x-rays and with the aid of a model explained what had taken place, all of which was much appreciated. If I have to have my other knee done any time in the future I would hope that Mr Thakrar would be available to provide the service.
